PhD in Business Studies

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants seeking admission to the PhD in Business Studies program should fulfill the following requirements:

Academic Qualifications

• An MS/MPhil degree (18 years of education) in a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized local or foreign institution.
• A minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).

Experience

• Professional or academic experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Requirements

Applicants are required to submit:

• Valid GMAT/GRE Subject test scores, if taken by the applicant.

• A brief research proposal/statement of research interests
• HEC-approved equivalence documents (where applicable)
• Two academic references

Admission Test and Interview

All applicants must:

• Pass the IBA admission test designed for doctoral applicants
• Appear for an interview conducted by the School of Business Studies

The admission test will be based on GMAT format.  

Applicants may be exempted from the admission test based on acceptable GMAT/GRE scores.

Minimum 60% marks in GMAT/GRE (int’l) or 60% marks in the IBA admission test are required for eligibility.
